Head of Prevention Police said: "People’s role in the protection of natural resources is very vital, and absorbing their participating and highlighting their role, enable us to prevent forests and rangelands degradation".

According to FRWO's website, Mehdi Masoom Beigi in the appointment ceremony of the new Commander of the Forest Protection Guard Unit of the Forests, Range, and Watershed Management Organization (FRWO) held at FRWO Headquarters on Saturday noted: "Natural resources, especially forests and rangelands, has vital importance for human's life by producing oxygen."

He noted that forests and rangelands are vital for humans and if these natural resources are degraded, human life will be endangered.

Head of Prevention Police stressed the role of participation in the protection of natural resources and reiterated: "People need a good education to be able to protect valuable assets as divine blessings."

Masoud Mansour, Head of FRWO, in this ceremony said that the basic FRWO's approach in the field of natural resources protection is cultural promotion and public participation and noted: "Innovation, creativity and strategy modification are quite necessary that the Forest Protection Guard Unit of FRWO can combat crimes and violations of natural resources regulations along with providing and equipping facilities".

Head of FRWO stated that FRWO's main missions are conserving soil and water resources and vegetation cover and noted that conservation of afore-mentioned resources are the integral part of sustainable development and the pillars of national independence and food security that sustain life.
