 The first virtual expert meeting of the National Working Group on combat Desertification session with the presence of representatives of member organizations was held at FRWO Headquarters on Tuesday, 18th May 2021 aimed at informing the participants about the recent developments and decisions of the United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification (UNCCD), benefit from the expertise and take advantage of the experience of experts and participate in the decision-making and policy-making process in related matters.

A series of virtual learning events to combat desertification with the subject of measuring and monitoring wind erosion (necessities and challenges) in collaboration with Yazd University and the Desert Management Iranian Scientific Association of Desert Management and Control (ISADMC) was held at FRWO Headquarters on Monday17th May 2021.

A virtual meeting on implementation of the regional action plan to control dust storms in order to review the measures taken by the Asian and Pacific Centre for the Development of Disaster Information Management (APDIM), based in Iran was held at MAJ Headquarters on Monday, 17th May 2021 by Public Relations and International Affairs Center of the Ministry Agriculture-Jahad.

 Coordination meeting of the 2021 Desertification and Drought Day - which will be held on 17th June 2021 - with the presence of representatives of related Bureaus and organizations was held at the Bureau of Desert Affairs on Monday, 17 may, 2021.
