Member of Parliament (MP) met and conferred with Dr. Mansour, Deputy Minister and Head of FRWO about regional issues of his constituencies.

According to FRWO’s website, Dr. Alireza Abbasi, MP of Karaj from Alborz province and the member of the Commission on Agriculture, Water and Natural Resources of the Parliament met with Head of FRWO and discussed his regional issues.

The member of the Commission on Agriculture, Water and Natural Resources of the Parliament referring to the existence of two huge dams in Alborz province that supply drinking water to Tehran, Qazvin and Alborz, considered the implementation of Integrated Watershed Management (IWM) projects as a basic solution to prevent soil erosion, sedimentation and reduce flood damage, and called for the implementation of watershed management measures in upstream of these dams.

Head of FRWO in this meeting called the capability of Alborz province very high and noted: "Due to the population density in the province, the importance of protecting natural resources is doubled".

Dr. Mansour said that the completion of the cadastre mapping and identification and demarcation of the forest reserves boundaries is another area of priority of FRWO as two of the nine priority area of FRWO and emphasized: " FRWO will use all its capacities to develop natural resources, especially the forests and rangelands of Alborz province."
